Essential Jazz Elements is a new jazz method aimed at all musicians who already have basic knowledge of music theory and their instrument and now want to embark on the adventure of jazz.
Essential Jazz Elements is an introductory and comprehensive school that teaches the four main areas of jazz education: jazz style, theory and history, and improvisation.
Essential Jazz Elements is not only suitable for group lessons, but also for individual lessons and self-study.
The enclosed CDs, on which the exercises and solos used in the book have been recorded for listening and playing along, can be used for support and motivation.
Afterwards, jazz should not only be learned, but also made to be heard. Essential Jazz Elements contains orchestral arrangements intended for performance. There are also elaborate sample solos that encourage your own improvisations.
All exercises, arrangements and solos already sound with a minimal instrumentation of four wind instruments and three rhythm instruments.
Essential Jazz Elements is also suitable for larger ensembles, such as brass classes, wind orchestras and big bands.
