The modern method by Martin Schädlich is tailored to the needs of young and adult beginners: The division into chapters with main topics and a final knowledge test enables flexible use: Both beginners with no previous knowledge and trumpet beginners with existing basic musical knowledge can work with these books.

In the first 6 (of 11) lessons, volume 2 gradually expands the tonal space up to c''' and introduces new rhythms and note values ??(triplets, dotted rhythms, ternary playing). Particular value is placed on the development of musical play and on getting to know all important styles of music from baroque to jazz and rock/pop. In the popular styles, the method gives many tips and suggestions on the subject of improvisation.

The course concludes with specific exercises and literature examples for the use of the trumpet in the classical symphony orchestra, in chamber music, in the symphonic wind orchestra and in the brass band. All important pieces are included on the CD as a full version (audio file) and as playback (mp3).
